About the Role
Weatherford is a leading global energy services company dedicated to providing innovative solutions across the drilling, evaluation, completion, and production cycles. We are currently looking for a skilled Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join our Tubular Running Services (TRS) team in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will perform inspection, testing, preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofits, and upgrades on sophisticated electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, as well as downhole tools and data acquisition systems.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in daily operations, safety meetings, and Job Hazard Analyses while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Perform basic to complex troubleshooting, scheduled preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment.
- Inspect used parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and rules to determine dimensional requirements.
- Complete work orders, calibration tasks, checklists, and repair requests accurately within designated databases.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, Management System standards, and Rules to Live By.
- National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with Tubular Running Services (TRS) tools and equipment.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with hazardous materials, NDT, NDE, and ATEX policies and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and written and spoken English communication skills.
