About the Role
Hotel Capitol, a premier three-star hospitality destination located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Personnel. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our 28 well-appointed rooms, luxury suites, and all surrounding facilities remain in optimal condition. Key Responsibilities- Perform routine plumbing maintenance including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and servicing water systems.
- Handle electrical repairs, covering lighting fixtures, power outlets, generators, and general wiring.
- Service, repair, and maintain air conditioning (AC) and HVAC units to guarantee ideal climate control for guests.
- Execute general carpentry and facility repairs, addressing doors, locks, and furniture promptly.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from guests and various hotel departments with high professionalism.
- Conduct regular safety and compliance inspections on fire safety equipment and report anomalies to management.
- Trade certificate, Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or relevant certification in Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance within a hotel or commercial building environment.
- Strong working knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, building safety protocols, and preventive maintenance.
- Must reside within close proximity to our location, specifically areas like Ogba, Ikeja, Ojota, Agege, Ketu, Ojodu Berger, or the Akute axis.
