About the Role
Brilliant Performance Solutions Limited is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring our construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of financial accuracy. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, evaluating all materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Analyze project plans and specifications to identify potential cost risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Manage, evaluate, and negotiate competitive subcontracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive tender documents, invoices, and valuation reports.
- Monitor project progress and costs continuously, identifying and reporting any variances from original budgets.
- Review, manage, and price variations to project scopes in alignment with company and client objectives.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare final cost reports detailing any deviations from initial estimates.
- Stay current with Nigerian construction industry trends, material pricing data, and local building regulations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction field.
- Active membership in a recognized professional Quantity Surveying institute (e.g., NIQS).
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Strong command of construction costs, pricing models, and estimating principles.
- Proficiency in industry-standard cost estimating software and tools.
