About the Role
Nestoil Plc, a leading indigenous EPC provider in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manager. In this critical role, you will champion our commitment to operational excellence, safe working conditions, and stringent regulatory compliance across our projects. You will collaborate with executive management, coordinate onboard safety teams, and drive a proactive safety culture that protects our workforce, assets, and host communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and drive the implementation of the Quality and Safety Management framework and QHSE plans across operations.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments, outline safe operational procedures, and enforce compliance with QHSE management systems.
- Establish comprehensive audit programs, schedule and perform QHSE audits, and report QMS performance metrics.
- Coordinate and oversee Safety and Training Coordinators, and produce targeted QHSE training plans for personnel.
- Manage relationships and compliance with third-party subcontractors, regulators, and government agencies such as NIMASA and the Ministry of Labour & Productivity.
- Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and ensure all statutory and regulatory certifications remain up to date.
- B.Sc. or B.Eng. degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive safety professional experience within the oil and gas or marine sector.
- Mandatory NEBOSH certification and membership in ISPON.
- COREN registration and ISO Internal or Lead Auditor certifications are required.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage diverse crews effectively.
- Strong risk management capabilities, high motivation, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
