About the Role
Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd. is a premier manufacturing company committed to delivering exceptional products to our customers since 1998. We are currently seeking an experienced, results-driven Quality Control Superintendent to lead our Quality Control and Quality Assurance operations at our bustling facility in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will champion our commitment to excellence by overseeing all inspection processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that our plastic products meet the highest industry standards for durability, safety, and performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and supervise the Quality Control and Quality Assurance team to achieve operational excellence.
- Inspect and rigorously verify the quality of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished plastic products.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and process deviations, ensuring the implementation of timely corrective actions.
- Develop, update, and enforce robust quality inspection procedures, compliance standards, and testing protocols.
- Monitor and analyze product defects, rejection rates, rework, material wastage, and customer feedback.
- Conduct thorough root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate closely with the Production department and other internal teams to maintain consistent product quality.
- Prepare comprehensive quality reports and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Quality Control Inspection or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Possession of an HND or B.Sc. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong and in-depth knowledge of QC/QA principles, inspection methodologies, defect analysis, and CAPA frameworks.
- Previous working experience in a plastic manufacturing company is a distinct advantage, specifically with injection moulding, blow moulding, coolers, food flasks, or thermoware production.
