About the Role
Beveledge Interior Designs is an indigenous brand renowned for manufacturing high-end furniture and creating timeless, functional spaces for clients across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to ensure that our luxury products consistently meet the highest standards of craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic appeal. In this vital role, you will safeguard our brand reputation by enforcing strict quality protocols from raw materials to final assembly.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect work across all production stages including carcass, upholstery, finishing, spray painting, and assembly.
- Verify critical quality parameters such as alignment, dimensions, firmness, balance, and overall workmanship.
- Perform comprehensive quality tests using appropriate tools and issue QC pass, hold, or rework decisions.
- Enforce strict adherence to the No Pass, No Movement rule and prevent defective items from advancing.
- Document inspection results accurately, maintaining clear records through checklists, pass slips, and rework logs.
- Collaborate closely with production supervisors and artisans to communicate defects and corrective actions clearly.
- Provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices to production staff.
- Submit detailed weekly reports on QC functions, defect trends, and returned jobs to management.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of quality control experience within furniture manufacturing, woodworking, or interior production.
- Strong understanding of furniture construction, upholstery, finishing, and spray painting techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and enforce compliance without confrontation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working effectively with artisans and production teams.
- Proficiency in completing technical documentation, inspection reports, and quality logs.
