About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a renowned leader in the Nigerian healthcare and pharmaceutical industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Inbu, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Senior Quality Assurance Officer. Based at our ultra-modern manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, you will play a vital role in maintaining our uncompromising commitment to product safety, efficacy, and consumer trust.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, update, and enforce robust Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality manuals across all operational lines.
- Supervise routine in-process checks, raw material evaluations, and finished product verification to prevent defects and minimize waste.
- Lead internal quality audits and coordinate external regulatory inspections with agencies like NAFDAC and SON.
- Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Train junior QA/QC staff and production teams on quality awareness, GMP standards, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and submit comprehensive performance dashboards and reports to management.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Science, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of proven hands-on QA/QC experience within a pharmaceutical, FMCG, or manufacturing environment in Nigeria.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international regulatory frameworks including GMP, ISO, NAFDAC, and SON guidelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Professional certifications in Quality Management, Six Sigma, or HSE are a distinct advantage.
