About the Role
First Excelsia, a leading Human Resources and Organisational Development consulting firm, is partnering with a reputable fashion manufacturing client to recruit a Quality Control Associate. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections throughout the production process, ensuring every garment meets our client's exacting quality standards before reaching customers.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive inspections of garments at all production stages, assessing stitching, finishing, sizing, and construction quality
- Identify and report defects including fabric damage, dye inconsistencies, incorrect trims, and workmanship issues
- Monitor dyed fabrics against approved colour and pattern standards to ensure consistency
- Communicate quality concerns promptly to production and dye teams for immediate correction
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality checks, defects, and inspection outcomes
- Prepare regular reports identifying recurring issues and production trends
- Provide constructive feedback to tailors and production staff to address quality gaps
- Support troubleshooting efforts and recommend preventive solutions
- Perform final checks ensuring proper pressing, labelling, and packaging compliance
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality standards
- Bachelor's degree, HND, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years' professional work experience
- At least 3 years' production experience in fashion or manufacturing
- Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills
- Strong documentation and reporting capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
