About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will champion product excellence by ensuring the quality, reliability, security, and overall performance of our software applications. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards across the software development lifecycle, utilizing both manual and automated testing methodologies to deliver robust financial solutions that comply with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
- Build and maintain robust automated test scripts using modern frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman.
- Identify, document, and track software defects thoroughly through resolution, working closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
- Collaborate within Agile teams during sprint planning to define clear acceptance criteria and quality gates for new product features.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid, secure, and reliable software releases.
- Conduct database testing using SQL and support performance, load, and stress testing activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide release-readiness sign-offs.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage that validates PCI-DSS-relevant controls and NDPA-compliant data handling before every release.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of total relevant experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience testing software within a fintech, banking, or regulated digital financial services environment.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and Postman.
- Solid understanding of SQL, database testing, and API integration testing.
- Familiarity with Agile QA practices, strong analytical skills, and effective stakeholder management abilities.
