About the Role
247Bet is a next-generation sports betting and gaming platform built for Africa’s vibrant, connected audience. We combine social interaction, entertainment, and responsible gaming to create an experience that goes beyond placing bets. As we approach our official launch, quality is non-negotiable. Real money moves through our platform, meaning a bug in a bet slip or wallet flow is a critical trust issue. We are looking for a dedicated QA Engineer to own testing across our web, mobile, and backend systems in our Lagos office on a hybrid schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites across API, web, and mobile surfaces.
- Own end-to-end test coverage for critical money flows including deposits, withdrawals, bet placement, and cash-out.
- Test real-time and event-driven behaviour such as live odds updates and in-play betting.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce rigorous quality gates on all releases.
- Perform exploratory, regression, and release testing under real-world Nigerian network and device conditions.
- Reproduce, document, and triage bugs with clear severity assessments and detailed reproduction steps.
- Minimum of 3 years of QA engineering experience with at least 2 years focused on test automation.
- Strong hands-on expertise with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
- Proven experience testing REST APIs and backend services using Postman or code-based tools.
- Solid understanding of SQL with the ability to validate data directly in PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
