About the Role
Don Quester Consulting, a leading Human Capital Development and Management Consulting organization, is recruiting a Quality Assurance & Control Manager to join our Enugu office. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to transform organizational performance through excellence in quality management and operational efficiency.
As Quality Assurance & Control Manager, you will develop and implement comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) while overseeing quality assurance, quality control, laboratory operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization. You will drive operational excellence, reduce costs of poor quality, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's QMS in compliance with GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements
- Lead quality assurance and quality control activities, including laboratory operations, material inspection, product release, and non-conformance investigations
- Drive operational excellence by improving production yield, reducing waste, scrap, and rework while promoting Right First Time manufacturing
- Conduct and manage internal, customer, supplier, and regulatory audits with timely resolution of findings
- Manage customer and supplier quality through complaint investigation, corrective action implementation, and performance monitoring
- Develop quality dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports for governance and decision-making
- Lead, coach, and develop the quality team while fostering excellence and collaboration
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 7–10 years' experience in quality management within manufacturing environments
- At least 3–5 years' experience leading quality teams
- Demonstrated expertise in QMS management, audits, compliance programmes, and quality improvement initiatives
- Professional certifications (ISO Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems, GMP compliance, CAPA management, root cause analysis, SPC, laboratory operations, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
