We are currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Purchasing Officer to join our client's team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing our supply chain operations, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the seamless acquisition of high-quality goods and services to support continuous business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the end-to-end procurement process by sourcing, vetting, and evaluating reliable local and international suppliers.
- Negotiate favourable contracts, pricing terms, and credit facilities with vendors to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Coordinate both local and international purchases, liaising closely with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics partners.
- Monitor inventory replenishment levels regularly to prevent stockouts and minimize holding costs.
- Track shipments closely and ensure the timely delivery of quality products in strict compliance with organizational procurement policies.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement records, update inventory systems, and generate routine purchasing reports for management.
- Possession of a B.Sc. or HND in Purchasing and Supply, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the retail or corporate sector.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with working knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of professional integrity and attention to detail.
