About the Role
Villa Park Hotels and Suites is a premier luxury destination nestled in a secure and serene environment in Lagos. We are currently looking for a dynamic and dedicated Purchasing Officer to join our professional procurement team and ensure our guests continue to experience pure luxury and flawless service.
Key Responsibilities- Process approved purchase requisitions for food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, maintenance items, and other essential hotel operational needs.
- Obtain and compare competitive quotations, rigorously evaluate suppliers, and negotiate favorable prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare comprehensive purchase orders and proactively track deliveries to prevent stock shortages and avoid service disruptions.
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal storekeepers and user departments to verify delivered quantities, quality standards, and precise specifications.
- Maintain accurate supplier records, up-to-date procurement documentation, and detailed purchase reports.
- Support strategic stock planning and cost control initiatives while strictly following internal approval procedures and avoiding conflicts of interest.
- Minimum of a BSc or HND in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of proven purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within a reputable hotel, hospitality, or food-service business.
- Solid working knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, inventory coordination, and internal purchasing controls.
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills with high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern procurement or inventory management systems.
- High level of integrity and the ability to effectively manage urgent operational requirements in a fast-paced environment.
