Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef and kitchen team with food preparation, chopping, slicing, and ingredient portioning.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized workstation, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene regulations are strictly followed within the kitchen environment.
- Manage food storage properly, monitoring expiration dates and stock levels to minimize waste.
- Assist with cooking duties and meal plating as directed by senior kitchen staff during peak service hours.
- Relevant culinary training, certification, or previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety practices, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the lodge schedule.
