About the Role
Akiavic Blue Roof Hotel is a prestigious family-run boutique hotel situated in the heart of Ondo City, Ondo State, Nigeria. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences, and our purchasing team plays a vital role in ensuring we have the highest quality goods and materials available at all times. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to join our dynamic hospitality team at 237 Brigadier Ademulegun Road.
Key Responsibilities- Source, negotiate, and purchase high-quality food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, and maintenance materials required for daily hotel operations.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly to prevent stockouts and minimize waste across all hotel departments.
- Inspect delivered goods to verify quality, quantity, and pricing against purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and inventory logs for financial auditing and reporting.
- Collaborate closely with the hotel management and head chef to anticipate upcoming stock needs for events and peak guest seasons.
- Possess a relevant qualification in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build lasting vendor relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and inventory management software.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment in Ondo State.
