About the Role
Christopher University, promoted by Translucent Management Services, bridges the vital gap between academia and industry by aligning high-level educational programs with the manpower needs of the corporate world. We are currently seeking a dynamic and result-driven Public Relations Officer to join our vibrant team at our Mowe, Ogun State location. In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the public perception of our institution, managing media relations, and fostering strong collaborative partnerships between the university and the private sector, both locally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that enhance the visibility and reputation of Christopher University.
- Manage day-to-day media relations, including drafting press releases, organizing press conferences, and securing positive media coverage.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between the university administration, the corporate world, students, and the general public.
- Coordinate institutional events, academic linkages, and stakeholder engagement programs in collaboration with management and industry partners.
- Monitor public opinion and media trends regarding higher education and corporate partnerships, providing actionable insights to the university leadership.
- Maintain and update official corporate communication materials, brochures, newsletters, and digital PR content.
- Possession of a good honors degree from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Mandatory active membership in the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
- At least 3 years of post-qualification cognate experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with strong proficiency in English.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust professional relationships with media practitioners and corporate stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced academic environment.
