About the Role
Collection Developments is a dynamic real estate firm dedicated to improving properties and creating lasting commercial and social value. We take a long-term approach to maximise risk-adjusted returns and set new standards for homes, workplaces, and cultural spaces. We are currently seeking a visionary Project Director to lead our construction division and deliver iconic developments in Nigeria, with a primary focus on Lagos State.
Key Responsibilities- Hold overall accountability for project delivery across programme, cost, quality, safety, client relationship, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the primary client point of contact at the director level, managing expectations and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Chair weekly project review meetings and approve final decisions on design, commercial, and programme matters.
- Oversee change orders, major procurement decisions, subcontract awards, and consultant appointments.
- Lead, recruit, and mentor the project team to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Manage regulatory relationships and report monthly on project status, risks, and financial performance to the Managing Director.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
- Minimum of 18 years of construction industry experience, with at least 8 years in a Project Director or senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-block residential or mixed-use developments in Nigeria, particularly Lagos State.
- In-depth familiarity with the Lagos regulatory environment, local utility authorities, and Design and Build contracts.
- Active membership in professional bodies such as NIOB, NSE, or COREN is a distinct advantage.
