About the Role
Join the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in Nigeria as a Project Director and lead our multi-sectoral humanitarian interventions supporting displaced persons and refugees. In this vital leadership role, you will provide strategic direction, ensure compliance, and oversee programs spanning Education in Emergencies, MHPSS, WASH, and Livelihoods across designated geographical areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall strategic direction and management oversight for multi-sectoral humanitarian programs ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate project planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting in strict compliance with donor requirements.
- Lead and supervise multi-disciplinary teams, fostering staff development, performance management, and wellbeing.
- Promote safeguarding, child protection, and the Safe School Declaration across all operational project components.
- Represent JRS at critical coordination forums including EiEWG, CPWG, GBVSS, and the INGO Forum.
- Oversee security management, budget monitoring, and crisis modifier activations to address emerging needs.
- Advanced degree in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience managing multi-sectoral humanitarian programs, ideally in Northeast Nigeria.
- Demonstrated expertise in project cycle management, donor compliance, and security protocols in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of EiE, MHPSS, WASH, and Livelihood frameworks in emergency contexts.
- Fluent in English with exceptional communication, representation, and diplomatic skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly to field locations.
