About the Role
Fountain University, established by NASFAT and located in Osogbo, Osun State, is dedicated to academic excellence combined with strong moral and ethical values. We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Programmer II to join our dynamic ICT team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building, maintaining, and upgrading university web applications, ensuring seamless digital experiences for students, staff, and visitors while upholding our institutional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, test, and deploy robust web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
- Collaborate with IT staff to design database structures and optimize application performance.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems and institutional portals.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to university staff regarding newly deployed software systems.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and backup protocols are strictly maintained across all platforms.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of Second Class Lower division.
- Proven hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel development.
- Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL and database management.
