About the Role
Fountain University, owned by the Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), is a premier institution dedicated to academic excellence and moral development. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Network Administrator II to join our vibrant ICT team in Osogbo, Osun State. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our campus-wide network infrastructure, supporting both academic and administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure maximum uptime for staff and students.
- Implement and manage robust cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular backups of network data and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
- Provide tier-2 and tier-3 technical support to end-users and resolve complex hardware and software network issues.
- Collaborate with the IT team to upgrade network infrastructure and implement emerging technologies.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a minimum of Second Class Lower division.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of professional hands-on experience in network administration.
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
