About the Role

Nutrition International, a global leader in the fight against malnutrition, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Program Assistant to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative, logistical, and programmatic coordination to support the effective planning, implementation, and reporting of our impactful health and nutrition programs. You will work closely with program officers to streamline operations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Program Officers in preparing comprehensive program documentation, including grant agreements, contracts, purchase orders, and project completion reports in line with internal financial procedures.
  • Lead the preparation of contracting documents such as purchase requisitions, project closure sheets, and draft contracts using internal systems.
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for meetings, workshops, stakeholder trainings, and essential field activities, including participant registration and travel arrangements.
  • Facilitate timely procurement processes by sourcing competitive quotations, maintaining accurate records, and liaising with vendors in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Support field implementation activities through travel, participant tracking, and the preparation of attendance and payment forms.
  • Schedule program meetings, manage calendars, and take detailed, accurate meeting notes as required by the line manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant administrative and program support experience, preferably within an NGO or international development setting.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with database management experience considered a distinct advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving organizational environment.
