Key Responsibilities
  • Provide academic leadership in the Survey and Geo-Informatics department with a specific focus on the GIS option.
  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, delivering high-quality lectures and practical sessions.
  • Initiate, develop, and successfully supervise independent research projects for students at various academic levels.
  • Publish scholarly articles in reputable, peer-reviewed national and international academic journals.
  • Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and institutional committee work.
  • Mentor junior academic staff and foster a collaborative research culture within the faculty.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a good Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Surveying, Geo-Informatics, GIS, or a closely related equivalent field from a recognized university.
  • Demonstrated extensive years of teaching and research experience in an approved tertiary or higher education institution.
  • A robust and commendable record of scholarly publications in reputable academic journals.
  • Proven ability to initiate, develop, and supervise complex research projects.
  • Full alignment with the requirements stipulated in the Federal University Otuoke Rules and Regulation Governing Conditions of Service of Senior Staff.
