Federal University Lafia is inviting suitably qualified academics to apply for the prestigious position of Professor of Public Administration within our esteemed Faculty of Management Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is dedicated to expanding access to quality higher education and fostering groundbreaking research in Nigeria. As a Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our public administration programs, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and contributing to the intellectual growth of the university community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Public Administration within the Faculty of Management Sciences.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, including Masters and PhD candidates.
- Conduct high-impact, original research and publish extensively in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, program evaluation, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, as well as community service engagements.
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor or possess equivalent academic standing in Public Administration or a closely related field.
- Must have a robust publication record comprising at least twenty (20) publications, with sixteen (16) in print, including four (4) articles published in at least three (3) different, regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision to completion of at least three (3) Masters degrees and one (1) PhD degree.
- Strong leadership, administrative, and interpersonal skills suited for a dynamic academic environment.
