The Federal University Lafia invites dynamic and accomplished academic leaders to apply for the position of Professor in Petroleum Information Management within the Faculty of Management Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to advancing quality tertiary education, cutting-edge research, and community development in Nigeria. Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide visionary academic leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum development within the Petroleum Information Management unit.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, fostering a robust learning environment.
- Mentor junior academic staff and actively participate in departmental and faculty administrative duties.
- Secure research grants and foster strategic partnerships with energy sector stakeholders and academic institutions globally.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor.
- Must possess a minimum of twenty (20) scholarly publications, with sixteen (16) in print, including at least four (4) published in three (3) different regularly published foreign index journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful supervision of at least three (3) Master's degree candidates and one (1) PhD degree candidate to completion.
- Extensive teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
