Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Music by designing, updating, and delivering comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals, and secure research grants.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate (M.Sc./Ph.D.) students in their thesis and creative research projects.
- Mentor junior faculty members and foster a collaborative, innovative academic environment.
- Engage in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and community service initiatives.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Music or a directly relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated substantial years of teaching, research, and administrative experience in a tertiary institution, commensurate with the rank of a Professor.
- A robust portfolio of scholarly publications in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Basic educational requirement: A First Degree with not less than a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a Ph.D.
