We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished academic to join our esteemed faculty as an Associate Professor in Transfusion Science within the College of Medical Laboratory Science.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Transfusion Science, fostering excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions.
- Supervise postgraduate student research projects and theses at the master's and doctoral levels.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and secure external research grants to advance the university's academic profile.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course evaluation, and departmental administrative duties as assigned.
- Mentor junior academic staff and participate actively in faculty and university committees.
- Must possess a PhD in Transfusion Science or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of cognate university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
- A robust and verifiable record of peer-reviewed publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Proven capacity for effective postgraduate teaching, thesis supervision, and academic leadership.
- Demonstrated ICT proficiency with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Current professional registration and a valid practicing licence with the relevant regulatory body where applicable.
