We are looking for an accomplished academic leader who will drive our Medical Laboratory Science program forward, mentor the next generation of healthcare professionals, and contribute significantly to the university's research output starting in the 2026/2027 academic session.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and professional leadership in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects and academic pursuits.
- Initiate, develop, and execute high-impact research projects that address contemporary healthcare challenges.
- Publish significant peer-reviewed scholarly articles in reputable national and international academic outlets.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster clinical partnerships, grants, and community engagement initiatives.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committee assignments.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely relevant field from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of full-time teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated track record of significant peer-reviewed scholarly publications in reputable national and international journals.
- Active membership in relevant professional regulatory bodies and associations.
- Proven ability to initiate, secure funding for, and supervise major research projects.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with demonstrable competence in digital learning tools.
