Key Responsibilities- Provide academic leadership in the Department of Economics by designing and delivering engaging, student-centred curricula.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Secure research grants and foster collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders and governmental agencies.
- Mentor junior faculty members and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and professional bodies.
- Drive interdisciplinary research initiatives that address real-world economic challenges in Nigeria and globally.
- A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- A minimum of 10 years of extensive academic teaching and research experience at a tertiary institution.
- A robust track record of impactful research publications in high-ranking national and international journals.
- Demonstrated leadership, administrative capability, and strong mentorship skills.
- Active membership and involvement in recognized professional bodies and academic conferences.
- Proficiency in IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications for academic and administrative use.
