Key Responsibilities- Provide academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Biochemistry and the broader Science and Technology programme.
- Design, update, and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate curricula that meet national and international standards.
- Conduct high-impact, cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable local and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Mentor junior academic staff and graduate assistants in professional development and research methodologies.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance practical training and research commercialization.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and administrative duties.
- Must possess a Ph.D. with specialization in Biochemistry from a recognized and accredited university.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A stellar track record of academic leadership, administrative competence, and mentorship.
- Extensive portfolio of relevant publications in high-impact, reputable local and international journals.
