About the Role

Shoreline Natural Resources Limited, a premier joint venture between Shoreline Power Company Limited and Heritage Oil, is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Production Geologist to join our subsurface team. In this pivotal role based in Nigeria, you will provide critical geological support for field development, drilling, and production operations across OML 30. Working collaboratively with petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, and multidisciplinary technical experts, you will build and update static reservoir models, interpret complex subsurface data, optimize well placements, and contribute significantly to hydrocarbon reserves assessment and asset value maximization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update subsurface structural depth maps and geological cross-sections to support field reviews and opportunity evaluations.
  • Monitor active drilling operations, validate well trajectories against prognoses, and compile comprehensive End-of-Well geological reports.
  • Collaborate closely with reservoir engineers to identify optimal well locations, calculate gross rock volumes, and perform accurate volumetric assessments.
  • Build and update fit-for-purpose 3D geocellular models for OML 30 fields using industry-standard software like Petrel and Techlog.
  • Supervise core acquisition, handling, and analytical studies to ensure data integrity and compliance with technical standards.
  • Integrate geological, petrophysical, geophysical, and geomechanical datasets to evaluate prospect maturity and mitigate subsurface risks.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior geologists while ensuring strict adherence to HSSE and corporate regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science, or a related discipline with a minimum of Second-Class Lower Honours; a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience, with a strong focus on production geology and reservoir characterisation.
  • Active membership in professional bodies such as NAPE, NMGS, or AAPG, with COMEG registration preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in seismic interpretation, structural mapping, static reservoir modelling, and well planning.
  • Expert-level working knowledge of industry software applications including Petrel and Techlog.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with exceptional analytical, technical reporting, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary package commensurate with industry standards and experience.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and wellness benefits for employees and dependents.
  • Opportunities for professional development, continuous training, and career advancement within a leading energy company.
  • A collaborative, inclusive work culture that values innovation, safety, and technical excellence.
