About the Role
Paystack is transforming online commerce across Africa by simplifying payments and building world-class financial infrastructure. While accepting payments is only the first step, merchants also depend on seamless settlements, refunds, and treasury flows to run their businesses. The Financial Systems team builds the robust products behind these experiences. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to shape and improve settlements, merchant payouts, refunds, disputes, and ledger products, ensuring seamless money movement even when real-world transactions get complex.
Key Responsibilities- Discover product problems through merchant conversations, operational incidents, and internal stakeholder feedback.
- Map end-to-end money movement flows, identify failure points, and translate complex findings into actionable product decisions.
- Specify and deliver improvements across settlements, payouts, refunds, and disputes within Paystack's product cycle.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, finance, treasury, and compliance teams to launch reliable technical solutions.
- Define success metrics, monitor post-launch performance, and continuously optimize products for real-world resilience.
- At least 3 years of product management experience taking technical products through discovery, delivery, and iteration.
- Demonstrated experience building or operating financial infrastructure, payment gateways, or money movement products.
- Strong systems thinking abilities to break down ambiguous problems and manage complex dependencies.
- Data-driven mindset with technical fluency to discuss APIs, ledgers, and reconciliation workflows with engineers.
- Bonus points for ledger design experience, SQL proficiency, or multi-market African fintech exposure.
