About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa's real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. As our Product Design Lead, you will own the execution of our design vision, managing a dynamic team of designers to prioritise initiatives and drive strategic projects. Balancing leadership with hands-on UX/UI execution, you will ensure we deliver business-driven solutions that elevate the user experience across our growing platform.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of product designers to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Maintain a hands-on approach by contributing directly to key design projects and establishing scalable workflows.
- Partner with product managers, engineers, and executives to translate strategic business goals into intuitive design solutions.
- Champion user-centred design by leveraging qualitative and quantitative research, usability testing, and behavioural insights.
- Ensure design consistency, scalability, and accessibility (a11y) through robust design systems and atomic design principles.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating leadership, strategic thinking, and end-to-end product design execution across platforms.
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing design teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Deep expertise in UX/UI principles, interaction design, and modern user research methodologies.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Prior experience in fintech or SaaS, with a strong grasp of financial products, security, and designing for trust.
