About the Role
Mshel Homes Limited, a leading independent real estate company located in Abuja, Nigeria, is seeking a skilled and motivated Procurement / Quantity Surveying Officer to join our dynamic construction team. In this pivotal role, you will manage procurement activities, project contract management, and cost-estimation processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of our innovative housing projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to support company operations and construction goals.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive prices and favorable contract terms.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisitions and RFQs to purchase orders and final deliveries.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, material schedules, and equipment requirements for ongoing construction projects.
- Measure and quantify completed construction work to process accurate progress payments and final accounts.
- Analyze contractor and supplier claims, participate in cost control and forecasting, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements across all projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience as a Procurement Officer or Quantity Surveyor within the Nigerian construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, sourcing techniques, and market rates for building materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant procurement or cost-estimation software.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Relevant professional certifications in procurement, supply chain, or quantity surveying will be an added advantage.
