About the Role
Jagz Hotel Ibadan, a luxurious 4-star destination committed to delivering exceptional personalized guest experiences, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Procurement / Purchasing Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating the timely supply of quality goods and services required for seamless hotel operations at competitive prices, ensuring strict transparency and compliance with our organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process duly approved purchase requisitions from various hotel departments.
- Source reliable suppliers, conduct regular market surveys, and obtain competitive quotations to ensure optimal value for money.
- Negotiate favorable prices, credit terms, delivery timelines, and commercial warranties.
- Prepare comprehensive comparative price analyses and submit purchase orders in accordance with approval procedures.
- Collaborate with Stores, Cost Control, and Internal Audit to verify delivered quantities, pricing, and quality specifications.
- Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and evaluate their ongoing performance based on reliability and cost-efficiency.
- Manage procurement documentation meticulously and monitor inventory levels to prevent avoidable stock-outs and emergency purchases.
- Strictly adhere to procurement ethics, maintaining uncompromising integrity, avoiding conflicts of interest, and reporting irregularities to management.
- B.Sc. or HND in Procurement, Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant procurement and purchasing experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management will be an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory management systems.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, numerical, and vendor management skills with an unblemished record of high integrity.
