About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Officer to manage the end-to-end procurement of telecom equipment, materials, and project requirements. In this role, you will play a vital part in keeping our operations moving, ensuring that our technical teams have the high-quality resources they need to deliver exceptional wireless network solutions for our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate local and international suppliers relevant to telecom infrastructure, conducting rigorous vendor assessments and site visits.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, commercial terms, and framework agreements while actively diversifying the supply base to mitigate risk.
  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs) aligned strictly with project rollout schedules and technical specifications.
  • Monitor market pricing trends, currency fluctuations, and import/export documentation to optimize costs without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, warehouse, and project management teams to forecast material needs and track deliveries, minimizing rollout delays.
  • Maintain comprehensive procurement records, vendor performance data, and ensure strict compliance with internal policies and HSE standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 5 years of proven sourcing and procurement experience, preferably within the telecommunications infrastructure or engineering sector.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, analytical thinking, and risk management capabilities.
  • Professional certification such as CIPS or CPSM is considered a strong added advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
