About the Role
Wertvoll Consulting Services is proud to partner with Smart Class Hotel & Suite, located in Aji–Enugu Ezike, Enugu State, to recruit a dedicated Procurement Officer. In this vital role, you will manage supply chain operations, source reliable vendors, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services to maintain exceptional hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Source and evaluate reliable vendors, suppliers, and contractors to secure the best pricing and quality for hotel goods and services.
- Manage daily purchasing operations, requisition orders, and inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize waste.
- Negotiate favorable commercial terms, contracts, and payment schedules with suppliers while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Conduct regular market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing channels.
- Coordinate with the finance and housekeeping departments to reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders accurately.
- Ensure all procured items meet strict quality control standards and comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in procurement, inventory control, or purchasing, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.
