We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of essential goods and services across diverse sectors, including petroleum products marketing, waste management, environmental consultancy, pollution control, haulage, and marine services. You will ensure optimal cost-efficiency while strictly adhering to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers, vendors, and contractors across target industries.
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with operational timelines and project requirements.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, payment structures, and delivery schedules to maximize value for money.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international procurement regulations, including Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the timely replenishment of petroleum products, marine equipment, and waste management supplies.
- Assess potential supply chain risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
- Prepare accurate purchase orders, service contracts, and detailed procurement reports for management review.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and logistics teams to streamline project delivery.
- Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible sourcing practices, particularly for pollution control and waste management projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement and supply chain management within the oil and gas, waste management, or marine services sectors.
- Relevant professional certifications such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) are strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of petroleum products, marine equipment, and environmental consultancy materials.
- Demonstrated expertise in market trend analysis, supplier performance evaluation, and cost structure optimization.
