About the Role
Tulips and Lilies Confectionery (The TLC Bakery) is a leading bakery in Ibadan famous for our exceptional delivery of exquisite confectionery, ranging from cakes to treats and everything in between. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our vibrant team in Bodija, Ibadan. In this vital role, you will drive the procurement process by sourcing quality materials, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure seamless supply chain operations while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, and consumables while preventing stock-outs through proactive purchasing.
- Liaise with the Inventory Officer for reorder planning and maintain an approved supplier list.
- Compare prices and negotiate the best value, ensuring optimal quality, quantity, and timely delivery.
- Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, resolve supplier issues, and maintain proper documentation.
- Manage procurement records accurately using Google Sheets and support internal audits and management reviews.
- Protect the company from wastage, fraud, and over-dependence on a single supplier.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management within Nigeria.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, and market-awareness skills with a robust existing supplier network.
- Highly resourceful, street-smart, and practical, with the ability to solve unexpected challenges within budget.
- Proficient in documentation with strong Google Sheets skills and strict adherence to zero-tolerance policies for kickbacks.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced bakery environment.
