About the Role
The British Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Excellence Manager to drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and process excellence across our global FP&A processes in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will ensure end-to-end planning processes are efficient, consistent, and fully aligned with our strategic international cultural relations objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage change control initiatives, and mentor a Senior Analyst to embed sustainable process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the ongoing standardisation and optimisation of FP&A workflows across regions, business units, and CoE teams, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with FP&A Product Development and functional teams to design, test, and deliver effective process and workflow solutions.
- Develop and track change implementation plans, manage change control activities, and facilitate smooth adoption into business-as-usual operations.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance, providing data-driven insights to leadership.
- Manage, coach, and guide a Senior Analyst to ensure high-quality delivery of analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Educated to a degree level or possessing equivalent professional experience in process optimization and finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated expertise in end-to-end process optimisation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and global process documentation.
- Professional finance qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA, and Lean Six Sigma or BPM certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and driver-based forecasting.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau, and familiarity with SAP products or EPM tools.
