About the Role
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our esteemed educational community in Nigeria. In this role, you will foster a positive, disciplined, and respectful learning environment while delivering engaging lessons aligned with the IB framework and IITA School standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and submit timely lesson plans aligned with the IB framework and school curriculum.
- Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Evaluate student progress continuously using varied assessment methods and maintain accurate records.
- Build cooperative relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to promote parental engagement.
- Participate actively in teacher evaluations, professional development, and school community initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with a recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international school approved by bodies like IBO, CIE, AISEN, COBIS, COIS, or AISA.
- Possession of a TRCN-recognized teaching qualification or additional international credentials (CIE, IBO) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), learner-centered approaches, and excellent classroom management skills.
