About the Role
Class Suites Hotels & Apartments, a premier modern hotel chain with strategic locations across Lagos (Ikeja, Ogudu, Ogba, Agege, near Murtala Muhammed International Airport) and Abuja (Jabi), is seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring our guests enjoy a seamless, comfortable, and memorable stay from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities- Greet arriving guests warmly, assist with luggage transportation to and from guest rooms, and escort travelers to the lobby or departure areas.
- Provide prompt answers to guest inquiries regarding hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options while running necessary guest errands.
- Support the front desk staff by answering telephone calls, routing messages, and transferring inquiries to appropriate departments.
- Assist the customer service and events teams with setting up upcoming functions, arranging seating, and updating directional signage.
- Safely park guest vehicles when required and efficiently retrieve them upon request following strict hotel valet protocols.
- Collaborate with internal departments to deliver items, move stock, and assist colleagues as needed.
- Ensure the safety and security of guests during emergencies, guiding them safely to designated evacuation assembly points.
- Minimum of a SSCE or relevant academic qualification from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience in a hospitality, hotel, or customer service environment is a strong advantage.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and proficiency in manual and automatic vehicles.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Physical fitness and stamina to lift heavy luggage and remain active throughout the shift.
- Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
