About the Role
Scruples Resources is actively recruiting an experienced Pigging Specialist to join our dynamic team and support critical pipeline operations within Nigeria's thriving oil and gas sector. In this role, you will play a vital part in planning and executing onshore and offshore pipeline pigging, ensuring optimal asset integrity, safety, and operational efficiency across various energy facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute pipeline pigging operations, including cleaning, batching, dewatering, and intelligent inspection tool runs for onshore and offshore assets.
- Prepare detailed pigging programs, procedures, risk assessments, and work packs while ensuring strict compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) and safety protocols.
- Inspect, verify, and monitor launcher and receiver traps, pig conditions, valves, and pipeline operating parameters during runs.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, maintenance, HSE, and logistics to troubleshoot and resolve stuck or delayed pig runs.
- Maintain accurate operational records, analyze recovered debris, and prepare comprehensive post-job reports and lessons learned.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Pipeline, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven professional experience in pipeline operations, pigging, maintenance, and integrity management within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong practical knowledge of pigging systems, tracking equipment, launcher/receiver operations, and interpreting P&IDs and engineering drawings.
- In-depth understanding of pipeline pressure hazards, safety procedures, and ability to work effectively across offshore and onshore facilities.
