Key Responsibilities- Deliver daily news bulletins, live broadcasts, and program segments fluently and confidently in Nigerian Pidgin English.
- Translate complex local and international news stories from standard English into natural, conversational, and accurate Pidgin.
- Gather, verify, and cross-check breaking news while strictly adhering to NBC regulatory standards in Nigeria.
- Conduct engaging on-air interviews with newsmakers, public figures, and community members.
- Create short-form videos and audio clips tailored for digital and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and X.
- Handle basic studio recording, mixing equipment, and live console operations as required.
- Minimum of an OND, NCE, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field, though proven talent and a strong demo reel may substitute.
- Exceptional command of spoken and written Nigerian Pidgin English alongside professional English proficiency.
- A clear, pleasant on-air voice accompanied by strong public speaking, charisma, and live improvisation skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local, national, and international current affairs, politics, entertainment, and sports.
