About the Role

The Diocese of Evo Education Board is a principal administrative organ of the Diocese of Evo, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), situated in Rivers State, Nigeria. We are committed to governing, standardizing, and advancing the educational apostolate of the Diocese, exercising comprehensive administrative and academic oversight over all missionary institutions under diocesan ownership. We are currently seeking a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Physics Teacher to join our esteemed academic community and inspire the next generation of learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality Physics lessons to senior secondary school students in alignment with the approved national curriculum.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external examinations including WAEC and NECO, ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
  • Design, administer, and evaluate comprehensive assessments, quizzes, and practical laboratory experiments.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective learning and critical thinking.
  • Maintain accurate academic records and provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
  • Participate actively in school-wide extracurricular activities, departmental meetings, and professional development programs.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Physics or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven professional teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years successfully preparing students for WAEC and NECO examinations is a strong added advantage.
  • Strong command of modern, student-centered teaching methodologies and practical laboratory techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse learners effectively.
