About the Role
Matrix International Academy, a leading private institution in Gombe State, Nigeria, is recruiting an experienced Physics Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school team. As our Physics Teacher, you will inspire and educate students across secondary levels, fostering critical thinking and practical scientific understanding through innovative teaching methodologies and hands-on laboratory experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with both Nigerian and British curriculum standards
- Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans with measurable learning outcomes
- Conduct practical laboratory sessions and demonstrations to enhance student understanding
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment with excellent discipline and management
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and professional development initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and progress
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) with PGDE in Physics, or HND equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of secondary school teaching experience
- Valid TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification (highly advantageous)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities
- Proficiency in both Nigerian and British curriculum frameworks preferred
