We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Physics and Maths Tutor to join our esteemed secondary school team. In this role, you will help students master complex scientific and mathematical concepts, foster critical thinking, and drive academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons in Mathematics and Physics in line with the secondary school curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson notes, homework assignments, quizzes, and examination materials.
- Simplify abstract mathematical and physical concepts using practical real-world examples and modern ICT tools.
- Assess students’ academic performance, provide constructive feedback, and organize remedial support sessions where necessary.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment and keep accurate, up-to-date academic records.
- Monitor individual student progress to ensure continuous improvement and successful outcomes in WAEC, NECO, and internal exams.
- Collaborate with colleagues during departmental meetings and actively participate in school-wide co-curricular activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, or a closely related field.
- A professional teaching qualification such as a B.Ed. or PGDE is an added advantage.
- Active registration with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven secondary school teaching experience.
- Demonstrated success in preparing students for external examinations like WAEC and NECO.
