About the Role
Bloombreed Schools, Port Harcourt, a prestigious British Council accredited Christian co-educational Day and Boarding school, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical & Health Education (PHE) Teacher for our primary section. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical and Health Education lessons tailored to primary school students in alignment with the curriculum.
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyle choices among all pupils.
- Manage sports equipment, facilities, and organize inter-house sports competitions, extra-curricular sporting activities, and school events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual physical development and holistic growth.
- Ensure the strict implementation of child safety, safeguarding policies, and risk management protocols during all practical sessions.
- Integrate modern educational technology tools into lesson delivery to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school management to support the overall mission of the school.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Physical and Health Education, or an approved equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant teaching experience in a recognized primary school setting.
- Strong digital literacy and IT skills, with the ability to leverage ed-tech tools effectively in teaching.
- Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrable understanding of child safety, protection, and safeguarding best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
