About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy offers first-class education from Preschool to Primary levels, utilizing a blended Nigeria-Montessori curriculum in the Early Years and a blended Nigeria-British curriculum at the primary level. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical and Health Education Teacher to inspire our learners to adopt active, healthy lifestyles and discover their athletic potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute active, engaging physical education sessions covering motor skills development, athletics, gymnastics, ball games, and fitness drills.
- Deliver age-appropriate health theory lessons covering personal hygiene, nutrition, body awareness, safety, and disease prevention.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute annual sports meets, inter-house competitions, and after-school sports clubs.
- Actively identify pupils with exceptional athletic ability and provide structured pathways to nurture their talents.
- Maintain high safety standards, administer basic first aid, and manage sports equipment inventories.
- Evaluate student progress and complete accurate reporting in alignment with school standard operating procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Ed/B.Sc) in Physical and Health Education, Human Kinetics, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of teaching experience in a reputable early childhood or primary school setting.
- TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is preferred.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is a strong advantage.
