About the Role
St. Ives Specialist Hospital, a leading multi-specialist healthcare provider dedicated to women, children, and family health since 1996, is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in Akowonjo, Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients while collaborating closely with our medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently to outpatients and inpatients.
- Prepare prescription orders, which include precise counting, pouring, packaging, and labeling of medications.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, monitor stock expiration dates, and place supply orders as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical information seamlessly on the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Handle incoming phone calls and respond professionally to inquiries from patients, doctors, and other healthcare providers.
- Perform essential administrative tasks, such as filing prescriptions, organizing the pharmacy workspace, and maintaining strict cleanliness standards.
- Adhere strictly to all healthcare and pharmacy laws, regulatory standards, and hospital safety protocols.
- Possess relevant academic qualifications and certifications as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven hands-on experience working in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting.
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory management, and EMR software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
