The Katsina State Government is seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team across state medical facilities. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed pharmacists in the accurate preparation, packaging, and dispensing of medications to patients.
  • Receive, process, and verify incoming prescription orders to ensure clinical appropriateness and safety.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate pharmacy records, documentation, and patient logs.
  • Monitor pharmaceutical inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and report shortages or expiring medications promptly.
  • Ensure the proper storage, temperature control, and handling of all pharmaceutical products in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in basic drug compounding and the preparation of specialized pharmaceutical mixtures.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and well-organized pharmacy environment conducive to safe healthcare operations.
  • Provide basic, supervised medication information and instructions to patients to promote adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician studies or a closely related healthcare field from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration or licensing with the relevant professional regulatory body in Nigeria.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures, drug classifications, and safety protocols.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in medication handling and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Relevant clinical or hospital pharmacy experience is an added advantage.
